In the heart of the West Loop you'll find attractive and functional works of art in the shape of contemporary studio furniture, glass, ceramics, jewelry and other decorative arts from established and up-and-coming local and national artists and artisans. Some of the pieces here are more beautiful and sculptural than they are functional, but all work on display is finely crafted.
The space is absolutely perfect for gallery newbies because everything you see should be recognizable ("should" because there are still those of us that don't own anything that comes close to resembling furniture). If you can recognize it, it shouldn't be too intimidating. If you aren't intimidated, you can loosen up and fully enjoy the gallery experience, which is, after all, the point.
