Harlan J. Berk contains one of the country's largest classical coin departments, with over 5,000 gold, silver, bronze and copper pieces. The coins hail from Sumeria, Egypt, Greece, Rome, near and far eastern countries, from 600 A.D. to the present. In addition to the shop at ground level, there is a research facility thirteen floors above, which is open to the public and contains more than 10,000 volumes devoted antique coins.
