A cop and a firefighter walk into a bar. No, this is not a set up for a joke. It's just a Sunday afternoon at BG's. The aforementioned public servants will likely ask you to proclaim your baseball affiliation. For the sake of time, just say the Cubs. It will get a cold, cheap beer in your hand a whole lot quicker.
BG's is not for the young club crowd. It's not for the youngish indie crowd. It's not really for any crowd. But, if you're the kind of person who likes to drink in peace, just to drink, then BG's is for you. On top of insanely cheap booze, there is also a pool table to keep you busy. But, be warned, BG's is home to pool leagues, so you'd better be on your game. A wall full of trophies implies they are pretty good.
If you still need a distraction (though cheap booze should provide it) there is also a touch game machine on the bar and a Lotto machine. Aside from that, just let the characters that drink here tell you stories. You won't regret it.
