You don't need to venture up to Devon Street for delicious, authentic Indian food. Klay Oven’s location just steps from the Merchandise Mart makes it a convenient choice for a workday lunch – and much more exotic than your typical Quizno's run.
The restaurant's warm salmon walls and traditional Indian artwork create an elegant and inviting atmosphere that complements the many colors and flavors of the cuisine. Each dish combines the freshest and best quality ingredients using healthy, low-fat methods in the centuries old clay oven (tandoor) and Indian wok (karhai).
No visit is complete without an order of keema samosa (puffed pastry filled with lamb, peas, ginger, fresh coriander, $5.25), gosht pasanda (lamb morsels in a seasoned yogurt sauce, $13.95), murg makhani (boneless tandoori murg cooked in tomato butter sauce, $13.95), and of course, an order of nan bread to sop up all the wonderful sauces and curries. There are plenty of delicious soups, salads, and vegetarian options as well. With so many choices, you'll want to bring along a group of friends and share a wider selection. Or else sample a bit of everything for yourself with the lunch buffet, just $11.
For private events and catering, Klay Oven can accommodate 10 to 1,000 people. It also offers delivery, but you’ll want to dine out for the excellent service, comprehensive wine and beer selection, and warm atmosphere.
