Some in the area say that Memories is home to a tough crowd, but really it's just a hangout for those not interested in frills; give 'em shots, beers and a pool table, and they'll be happy. Actually, the toughest thing about this place is maneuvering the cues around the two vintage streetlamps (bearing signs from the bar's cross streets, Montrose and Cicero) to line up a game-winning shot. Other than that, there's plenty of space to move around, including a wide-open spot in front of the stage in the back, where rock and country bands play every so often.
