The Gold Coast area offers plenty of shelter to partying students, bachelorette bashers, tourists and other partygoers alike. So with that in mind, we can assure you that this cross-section isn't a quiet one. And since Leg Room finds its home smack dab in the middle of the action, we can assure you it won't be shushing up anytime soon.
Upon entering Leg Room, you'll be greeted with plenty of seating in the lounge area, but don't even think about sitting down just yet. There's the dance floor, the large bar and the elevated area for "spotting hotties," as the kids say, that still need to be covered first. And besides, why would you sit down without a drink in hand? You'll find a large fireplace and an aquarium full of unusual fish. But this isn't John Shedd, so you don't waste more than a moment gawking at the fish: There are other fish to look at, and we don't mean the ones with fins. We mean the ones with breasts. Or not. Whatever you're into is good, too.
Late-night living isn't complete without a menu for snacking, and the open-'til-4 a.m. Leg Room serves an appetizery range of burgers, antipasto, grilled vegetable paninis, pot stickers and grilled calamari. If you're not in the mood for grub, a selection of drinks is available and aim to please. Try the chocolate martini served in a chocolate-rimmed glass; the lemon drop, poured with citrus rum and lemon juice in a sugar-rimmed glass; or the crowd-favorite Dean Martini, which comes complete with a cigarette and matches.
Call ahead to reserve seating in the lounge area or expect to stand all night, lurking near the chairs to steal a seat. Cover ranges from $5-$10 and cabs are plentiful so you won't need to show some leg to get a ride, that is, unless you really want to. You know you want to.
