Moda, Italian for fashion, is the focus of this upscale, late-night club bearing the same dress-to-impress name. Catering to the fashion-worthy crowd, expect patrons dressed to the nines, including the beautiful bouncers and bartenders. So don't be shocked if you get turned away for sporting Seven jeans (the club asks patrons to shy away from denim, even designer versions). When owner Roman Sanchez says fashionistas only, he means it.
Take, for example, Moda's over-the-top decor. Truly putting fashion forward, a rectangular-shaped runway occupies the center of the room. Names like Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren are emblazoned on the walls, should you forget the club's posse of patron saints. Sleek furnishings complement the crowd that sits upon them, canopied by giant leaves hung above the bar. DJs spin "happening but not clubby" music.
Though bottle service is offered at the banquettes, the bi-level club and lounge houses two bars filled with an impressive choice of liquors, a dance floor and a coveted VIP room. In addition to its just-under-$1,000 bottles of Cristal, the bar pours signature drinks like the Moda Mosa, Ketel One vodka with mango liqueur, fresh fruit and champagne, topped with a mango slice. But don't be surprised if you shell out more than $10 per drink. Remember that's it's more than a cocktail…it's a fashion statement, too.
