Date: June 7-8, 2008
Cost: $5 donation
Organizer: Big Buzz
What to expect: Live music on two stages, special kids and seniors activities, and of course, smokin' barbecue.
Why to go: The food's the No.1 draw, but the music's not too shabby, either, and you've gotta give it up for 20 bands in 20 hours.
Additional info: As usual, the festival will feature three crowd-voted award presentations for Northcenter's Best Ribs, Fest Fave (best single food item) and Hot Off the Grill (favorite non-rib restaurant). Kids Square, which offers rides, live entertainment and hands-on activities will run from noon-6 p.m. both days. Also, the Senior Oasis provides a seniors-only seating and dining area with bingo and other entertainment.
