What to expect: Self-guided garden tours, architectural tours, live music and a Kids Corner full of activities. Oh, and dozens of packed house parties along the way.
Why to go: You'll see some of the most beautiful gardens this side of Eden, plus some great music.
Additional info: Music takes place on the mainstage as well as on the grounds of the nearby Little Sisters of the Poor. The Kids Corner is located at the 2200 block of Kenmore Avenue, and features a ferris wheel, petting zoo and entertainment. Visit the Garden Center on the lawn of the St. Vincent de Paul Church for information or tutorials.
Bicycle racks are available in front of St. Vincent de Paul Church, as well as on the DePaul campus. You can park free at Finkl Steel (Southport just south of Clybourn) or for $5/12 hours at the DePaul garage (Clinton just south of Fullerton). A free Garden Walk trolley will run every 20 minutes from Finkl Steel. No pets, bicycles or rollerblades are allowed in the main festival area.
