The Bellwood Public Library was established in 1932 and for 20 years was located on the second floor of the old Village Hall. With the increase in population (and inventory, we suppose) the library moved to a larger space. A new library was finally built in 1960, and has since been expanded.
There are a number of computers in the reference and magazine rooms for use; they come equipped with Internet access and word processing, spreadsheet and desktop publishing programs. A book club for adults meets on the first Monday of each month.
