| R&B veteran, who Crajon Productions' Denise LaSalle discovered in a Chicago club, went on to hit the national charts with "Get Your Lie Straight" (1971), and many other soul-era masterworks. He became one of LaSalle's backup singers, and gradually slipped out of the spotlight, recording almost nothing as a bandleader until 1995. That CD, Sneakin' Back vaulted him back into the Blues spotlight, though. There's also a follow-up, Can't Get Enough. His voice is brawny, but supple, and more emotionally sensitive than most of today's blues singers. Coday released a third album called "Put Me in the Mood" in 1999. In addition to his latest CD "Jump Start", Coday also has his own record label called B&J Records.
