| "One foot in the blues, and the other on the gas." If you're looking for one phrase to sum up Blue Voodoo, that’s it according to one enthusiastic fan. This five piece band (drums, bass, two guitars, and keyboards) plays a lot of blues. But this ain't cry-in-your-beer blues. This is drink-tippin', toe-tappin', get-up-and-boogie blues. With styles ranging from Chicago to Texas to Roadhouse, and featuring artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Freddie King, and Muddy Waters. In addition to rockin' blues, Blue Voodoo plays plenty of blues-influenced rock. Real crowd-pleasers from artists like Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, CCR, The Black Crowes, AC/DC, and The Doors. Blue Voodoo also throws in a handful of their own compositions with the same rockin’ blues feel of their cover material. Catchy originals that have become favorites of the bands constantly growing, hardcore following.
Blue Voodoo planted its roots in the area more than 10 years ago. They've played all over Chicagoland, and shared stages with artists like Junior Wells, Lonnie Brooks and the Fabulous Thunderbirds, just to name a few. With time and experience, Blue Voodoo has developed an irresistible groove that wins over new fans at every gig, and keeps those on the mailing list of over 300 people coming back for more, time and time again.
