Local musician/performance artist Bobby Conn (known for wearing a wig) has performed with a wide variety of bands and musicians (including the Lean Muscular Funk Unit, The Ski Patrol, Cabonizers, 16 Style Band, Jim O'Rourke, Fred Lonberg-Holm, etc. on a number of instruments (he's a vocalist, pianist, and guitarist) generally leaning toward a slightly pompous avant-garde rock sound. His second full-length, Rise Up (Truckstop/Atavistic and Thrill Jockey), features a conceptual Antichrist Superstar song cycle produced by Jim O'Rourke full of cryptic lyrics and complex musical arrangements.
