Charles Wilson
 
Charles born & raised in Chicago, the youngest of 10 children all of whom played and sang. Charles came up singing in the Baptist church. From the age of 14 he was singing in night clubs. Uncle Little Milton was his main influence. The first recording was 1978 entitled, “I Need A Love I Can See In The Daylight”, on The Sky Hero Label, owned by The Late Harmonica great Little Mack Simmons. Produced by Simtec Simmons duet partner of Simtec and Wylie. This cut was unreleased. 1995 Charles recorded “It’s Sweet On The Backstreet” , on the Ecko records label. This recording won “The Jackson Music Award” for outstanding recording of the year. 2003 Charles recorded “Pay To Play” on Wilson Records 2004 recorded “If Heartaches Were Nickels”, on Delmark Records featuring Little Milton and Carl Weathersby on guitar. The record did great and was nominated for “Album of The Year” in the 2005 WC Handy awards, Soul/ Blues category. 2005 If It Ain’t Broke Don’t Fix It” on Wilson owned label, Delta Entertainment.
