| Longtime Milwaukee Wisconsin psychedelic hip-hop band (and regulars of the Chicago club scene) released their major-label Warner debut, Mobile Estates in Februrary '99. Describing the new record, Illinois Entertainer says "Techno-funk grooves undergird old-school turn-table scratchings while clever raps lead to hooky choruses that in turn lead back to clever raps. In short, Citizen King makes the sort of musical melange one might expect from a group that's three-fifths white and two-fifths black. Interesting trivia: the band has more than 20,000 vinyl records.
