| The rock and roll sounds of Dirty Love blast outward from the streets of Chicago, leaving ears ringing and hearts pounding. Raucous and reckless one minute, atmospheric and moody the next, Dirty Love thrives on captivating songs and intense energy. Once described as Iggy and the Stooges meet Donovan, Dirty Love draws from a variety of influences including the Who, Nirvana, and Radiohead, to create a multi-dimensional sound held together by strong, catchy songwriting.
Dirty Love is currently in the process of recording their debut album, slated for release in Spring 2004. The band continues to perform in the Chicago area, building their fan base and creating excitement and anticipation for the new album. Upcoming shows include appearances at the Double Door, the Note, and Martyr’s. The band plans to do a Midwest tour after the album’s release.
Dirty Love was born in the summer of 2001, when singer/songwriter Ross Dimun met bassist Mike Davidov and guitarist Keith Schell. They formed a band and began playing gigs in Chicago, and people began to take notice of the band’s energy. Though the band’s lineup went through some changes, the core of Dimun, Davidov, and Schell remained strong. They finally settled on a 4-piece band with the recruitment of drummer Bill Hoffman in January 2003.
