Edward Druzinsky
 
Chicago Symphony Orchestra's principal harpist joined the orchetra in 1957 after playing with the Pittsburgh Symphony, Detroit Symphony, NBC Symphony (under Arturo Toscanini), and the New York Philharmonic.

He is a frequent soloist with the orchestra, and was a 1979 Grammy-nominee for his performance of Ravel's Introduction and Allegro.

The St. Louis native began playing the violin at 5, piano at 8, and harp at 12. After high school, he studied at Philadelphia's Curtis Institute. During WWII Druzinsky studied chemical engineering at Washington University and was drafted into the Army. Afterwards, he studied math & physics in New York while playing Broadway shows.
