| Family Groove Company is a four piece, groove oriented band that performed throughout the west coast for several years, but decided last fall to relocate to Chicago (the hometown of the band's two founding members) in order to reach the greater number of audiences that its central location provides. FGC's sound lies between the feel-good grooves of James Brown and Herbie Hancock, and the catchy rock and roll of the Beatles. The material thrives on a strong commitment to improvisation without ever losing sight of the song. FGC is currently performing in the Chicago area and throughout the Midwest.
