| Far From Words started as a solo project by Alex Riggen, who started writing and recording demos in 2003. After he had over an hour of music written he decided to get a band together to be able to perform live. After many lineup changes the band now consists of Alex on guitar and vocals, Jacob Medendorp on keyboards, and Nick Pompou on drums. Far From Words played their first show as soon as they were ready and got a great response. After the show they went to Pressure Point Studios in Chicago to record their first EP. The EP is currently in the process of being printed and will be self-released in early April. Unfortunately, after the recording sessions Far From Words had many problems with equipment and was unable to continue playing shows for awhile, but now everything works again and Far From Words is starting to play as many shows as humanly possible, and with a new EP coming out in a few weeks who knows what will happen next.
