Gail Williams
 
This Northwestern University School of Music faculty member formerly a Chicago Symphony Orchestra french hornist as well as an associate principal since 1984. She is a founding member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians and the esteemed Summit Brass, and was former principal horn for the Lyric Opera of Chicago.

She is married to CSO principal clarinetist Larry Combs and holds an MMus from Northwestern University as well as an honorary doctor of fine arts from Ithaca College.
