| A tuba player in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1989, Gene Pokorny is also a member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians. Previously, he had been a member of the St. Louis Symphony, the Utah Symphony and Israel Philharmonic, and -- during a 1992-1993 leave of absence to his native Southern California, Pokorny participated in the film studio recordings for the movies "Nightmare Before Christmas," "The Fugitive," "Jurassic Park," and "Toys." Pokorny is also a member of the Chicago Chamber Musicians.
