| Hyper, eclectic 9-piece Jamaican-influenced ska band ranges from pop to punk, through a number of other tasty points. The band's debut, Tomorrow The World, originally self-released on keyboardist Eric Ottens label, Major Label Records. It's now available on Jump Up!, the label of ska maven Chuck Wren (whose WNUR ska show the bands' saxophinist, Mark Barthelemy, inherited -- Mina Kim now runs it, btw). They were recently mentioned in the Illinois Entertainer for a cover of a Wham tune: "Pork pie hats off to Greenhouse for their nearly impossible ska version of the Wham hit 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,' performed to rousing crowd appreciation at last month's record release party for DJ Chuck Wren's fourth midwestern ska compilation Return of American Skathic. Not only did Greenhouse have the balls to cover such tripe, but their hopped-up ska take on the song was truly inspired."
