| Great tenor saxophonist was a founding member of the Art Ensemble of Chicago in the days when they burst into the jazz/improvised music scene. Though a breathtaking innovator, Jarman can still be tenderly lyrical and remain true to his swing background. After leaving the ensemble for a short time, he returned in 1993. He has made several recent recordings with the group and has been touring with them regularly
