Pianist Kathie Nicolet has been playing piano at weddings and corporate functions in the Chicago area since 1983. With five hours of memorized repertoire, Nicolet plays everything from Mozart to Gershwin to Sinatra to the Beatles. With stamina like that, forget having to program your CD player. Originally from Park Ridge, Illinois, Nicolet began playing piano at the age of 5. The daughter of a Lyric Opera Tenor, she often accompanied her father while he practiced for his performances.
Nowadays, Nicolet performs at events such as The Art Institute's After Hours receptions and the DePaul Music Mart Concert Series, and at venues such as the Villa Olivia Country Club in Bartlett; a Preferred Vendor Of Mayor Daley's Office Of Special Events, The Pump Room, and The Chicago Historical Society. Currently, she is currently lead pianist at Von Maur in St. Charles. (Alissa LaSovage)
