| Female ontemporary-style Chicago blues (and occasionally rock, R&B) singer has bucked the odds, with her impressive voice (say, 4 octaves) and a commanding stage presence. She is featured on Blue Chicago's 1997 CD The Red Hot Mama's where she covers two "blues chestnuts," J.B. Hutto's "20% Alcohal" & Magic Sam's "What Have I Done Wrong."
Liz Mandville Greeson, winner of the 2005 USA Songwriting Contest for her song "He Left It In His Other Pants" from her second solo release on the Earwig Music Co. label, is performing every Monday night at the Kingston Mines in Chicago with her band the Blue Points. Her second CD -- Ready to Cheat -- was released on traditional Delta/Chicago blues label Earwig Music in Nov. 1999. Her debut album was Look at Me, also on Earwig.
