| Naked Raygunesque Chicago pop-punksters have just about finished their second full-length. Their 1997 self-titled Slipdisc records release received a fair bit of critical acclaim from the local media. The Chicago Herald said "it makes you proud to be a Chicagoan." New City (3/97) said "Playing a crunchy creation of power punk drived from the band members' self described 'plug and go' philosophy, Muchacha gives an audience loud guitars, fast drums and a sardonic sense of humor... (the) chord progressions and lack of breakneck speed set all the pieces in place for a live show worth seeing." They've also released a split CD with The Dorks in 1999 (Veronica Records) and one with Speed Duster live at Thurston's. For more information, visit their website: http://come.to/muchacha.com
