New Duncan Imperials

For the New Duncan Imperials, every day is New Years Eve, every stage bedecked with streamers, confetti, christmas lighting, and women's underwear. The rare local band with more roadies (stagehands, if you prefer) than band members. The music's nothing great -- enthusiastically countryesque -- but the showmanship makes it all worthwhile.

To celebrate the new millenium, they recently released a 30-song collection of brand new music -- Sticky (Pravda Records).

Spent most of July 1994 touring with Mojo Nixon! On their 1994 EP We're in a Band, NDI covers Boston's "Rock And Roll Band", Creedence's "Travelin' Band," Wings' "Band on the Run", and the Moody Blues' "I'm Just a Singer in a Rock'n'Roll Band." (catch the pattern?). Fried (Pravda Records) includes live & rare recordings, interview bits, commercials, and other stuff. Their new CD, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vegas (also on Pravda) was released in March 1997.

Two NDI members perform in the '60s revival band The Goldstars.
