 Best-selling black pop/R&B artist, who has topped the charts with his first two albums, is up for a Grammy with his hit "I'm Your Angel" with Celine Dion. He's also done mixing for Janet Jackson and a number of well-known stars and starlets. He has an eponymous disk, and a double CD entitled R. Kelly was also 1996 Billboard "R&B Artist of the Year." Though he's been relatively quiet on the recording front recently, he still recently sold out London's Wembley Stadium two days running...  Recently, Kelly has apparently been playing with basketball with a pro team, the Atlantic City Seagulls in the United States Basketball League, and runs the Interscope-distributed Rockland imprint.
