 This alternative rock trio which has existed in some form since 1982, officially becoming Simple Simon in 1992. The heavy funksters ("raw, emotional and loud" they say) were sponsored by beer-makers Anheuser-Busch for a year or so. They've released 5 albums ( including Funky Dog, Bitter Taste of Americana, Focus and Superstar), and have sold 20,000 pcs in Chicagoland alone. Simple Simon is Tony Porfino (vocals, bass), Mark Grzelak (vocals, guitar) and Kris Gutrich (drums). They also recently released an EP, aptly titled Demo.
