| Chicago’s indie/post-punk band, Soft Targets, was formed by guitarist Chris Auman after the breakup of Reagan National Crash Diet in 2004. Originally a trio with former RNCD bassist Carol Bales and drummer Perry Finch (ex-Vambo Marble Eye). After the departure of Bales, Soft Targets continued rehearsing as a two-piece but did not perform live. Perry’s wife, Tina, would lend a hand on bass for most of 2005. The addition of ex-Seam guitarist, Reg Shrader and bassist, Tim Davison (The Clerics) provided a consistent line-up for live shows and the recording of the seven inch “(Let it) Richochet” b/w “Straight Line” for RoosterCow Records in 2006. Finch soon left the band to return to grad school and Dave Potter (Lustre King) joined on drums in time to record the RoosterCow CD EP, “Whatever Happened to Soft Targets?” at Electrical Studios, after which Davison departed to concentrate on his band The Clerics. Dan Kiss joined on bass in 2006 and in 2007 the new line-up recorded their full-length debut for RoosterCow, “We Hate You Soft Targets!” For more information, visit their website: http://www.roostercow.com
