| Strange that two folks with such similar names (see also blues guitarist Son Seals) should be relatively famous in the same city at the same time, but Sonny Seals is an excellent tenor saxophonist along the lines of Dexter Gordon and Gene Ammons. Ari Brown, another legendary Chicagoan, is one of his legions of big fans. Sonny Seals passed away in Chicago on October 17, 2002.
