| Squonk Opera is weird. They bill themselves as a band, but it might be more accurate to call them an interactive musical theatre group, or performance art. They do play music (folksy rock stuff with female vocals that varies from melodic singing to disturbing whoops and wails), but the focus seems to be on visual impact. They wear elaborate costumes including giant papier-mache appendages and dance around with the audience. It's very entertaining and amusing to watch. Oh, and the music is pretty good too.
