| The Baldwin Brothers are TJ Widner and Jason Hinkle, who have been performing on the local Chicago scene since 1999. Their 2002 debut "Cooking with Lasers" was released on TVT records and received critical praise nation-wide. "Cooking with Lasers" was co-produced by Dave Trumfio (Pulsars) and includes notable guest appeances by Miho Hatori (cibo matto, gorilaz), Angie Hart (Frente), Geri Soriano-Lightwood (Supreme Beings of Leisure) and Barron Ricks (Cyprus Hill). Also appearing on the record is a veritable who's who list of Chicago musicians including Steve Gillis (Filter, Sumo), DJ Jesse de la Pena (Liquid Soul), and Paul Mertens/Dave Crawford (Poi Dog Pondering). "Cooking with Lasers" was named in the top 40 albums of the year for 2002 on the CMJ RPM Charts and the track "That’s Right" was chosen as one of the top 5 songs for 2002 by Local Anesthetic on WXRT, Chicago. The Baldwin Brothers' music can be heard on television shows including The MTV Music Awards, Fox's Tru Calling, Warren Miller's feature film, "Storm," and several video games for the Sony Playstation 2.
