Urban Twang

Quixotic songwriting team of Trish Clausen (vocalist) and Max Getzel (guitarist) have been working together since 1982, first in pop/ska band The Eccentrics, followed by another group called Price of Passion. During the early '90s, they were influenced by members of the Americana movement. They've released two CDs, Nothing You Can Do released in 1994 on AEMMP Records, and Go Call Delia (Thunderdisc records). Lead singer Trish Clausen has a great voice, and an excellent stage presence. Also in the group are Max Getzel (guitar, dobro, mandolin, harmonica), John Carpenter (guitar, vocals), Drew Enselman (drums) Rich Fonseca (bass) and Karla Sue (vocals).

Twang News áThe Urban Twang song ?If Liquor Were a Woman? can be heard in the movie Almost Salinas. This independent film stars John Mahoney (Frasier), Virginia Madsen (The Rainmaker and Dune), Ian Gomez (Felicity and EDtv), Lindsey Crouse (The Insider), Linda Emond (One Life to Live), and Ray Wise (RoboCop and Twin Peaks). Almost Salinas is written and directed by Terry Green.
