STOP!!! This place is NOT good! What is wrong with these people posting such glowing reviews? The place is infested with cockroaches and the food is mediocre at best. It is NOT good! Geez. Go out more!

Hands down my favorite breakfast place in chicago . The apple pancake is a delicious treat. Blueberry pancakes - fantastically executed. Waffles - yummy. Potato Pancakes.
Simply put, I've never had something disappoint me here. I've not explored the whole menu - I've completely avoided the eggs here, but my mother often gets eggs and seems happy enough. They mix a great glass of chocolate milk, and brew tasty coffee.
Almost every time I;m in the area I go here for breakfast. Why? simply the best breakfast food around.

Okay, so its a diner, right? But I thought this place was a little different than your regular dinner.. for one, The layout is very different than most diners- very big, many rooms. I heard this is due to an addition. One room seems like a chain restaurant. The menu serves choices that you don't normally see at a diner, but instead usually at regular american restaurants. I had quesidillas- and I have to say they tasted completely different from any other... the cheese and bread was something different and I liked it. What stuck out the most, was that they served warm bread to our table. At a diner!

I ate at this restaurant last year, and I think the quality was terrible! In fact it was around the time the first three reviews were written here (late Nov 06). I ordered buffalo shrimp which was not spicy AT ALL! This restaurant has been around for over 27 years (since 1980), and this site for several years, but the oldest reviews are just over a year old! I would expect a restaurant this famous to have more reviews. I think Mike is right. It is odd that the first three reviews were written in the same month, two of them being 5 days apart. Mike is right! The manager definitely wrote those reviews. In brief, the Blue Angel sucks!

Uh... Blue Angel restaurant SUCKS! What is wrong with you people? I seriously suspect that all these reviews were either composed by the manager(s) or else he payed people to write them! All the reviews say the same thing! Tasty food, wonderful staff, lovely decor...blahblahblah! Only one "customer" actually described the meal. Who actually goes to a restaurant for the interior design anyway? So it's 24 hours! So is Denny's but with food of equal or greater quality at lower prices. Blue Angel is overpriced. Trust me, I worked there over 3 years ago. The kitchen is beyond filthy with staff composed mostly of illegal aliens (nice people, but not exactly elte chefs) and those delicious cakes? Purchased at Jewel.

EXCELLENT food, great service and a very trendy look. I recommend the BBQ ranch chicken salad or a complete dinner which includes dessert and a glass of wine for $10.95
