To be honest and blunt, that's the aobtluse best thing you can do. If this guy does some truly sick work, and tells you to get in the chair and let him have at it, chances are you're in good hands. If this cat has a waiting list, hold out for the work. That's a surefire sign it's worth waiting for. If you bring an idea to this artist and he can whip something out with a sharpie wherever you're wanting it, go for it. I have tattooed over half my life and the pieces that are the best are the ones that people give me an idea and let me go to town on. I have done sleeves like that, and never have had a negative response. By doing this, you accomplish two things. One, you're ensuring you are walking out of the shop with a one of a kind piece, and two, you are showing the artist you trust his judgement to give you what you are wanting. Get in the chair, what are you waiting for?

When I took in my idea for my foot tattoo, my atsrit said that a lot of people had brought that same picture in. He suggested that he should just draw something up on my foot. I was a little apprehensive at first b/c i wasn't sure if his design was going to be what I was looking for. I wanted cherry blossoms that looked real. I was afraid he would make them look cartoon-ish. When I went in for my appointment, I let him do what he wanted for the drawing. When I looked down when he was done, it was exactly what I wanted. I was completely happy with the results and he did an amazing job free-handing my cherry blossoms. I can't imagine it being better. You are definitely going to get a one-of-a-kind tattoo by letting your atsrit free-hand it. But if you don't like what he draws up, tell him and he should work with you until he has drawn something that you like. I'd say definitely go for it!

I have personally had two tattoos done at Twisted by Marty - excellent work and recently three dermal anchor piercings by Kara - could NOT have asked for a more professional job. I will be returning.

The was my first time at Twisted today and I went to get 2 micro-dermal anchor piercings and my piercer was Gray he was really awesome. I already have 12 piercings so # 13 & 14 I thought would be no sweat but when he did the first one we had a little trouble but nothing that wasnt quickly handle by Pete who writes the articles and does siminars about micro-dermal anchor piercings. The shop was in excellent condition and both Pete and Gray were very nice to my friend and I. Plus their prices are straight forward in total I paid $80 for the two of them and that included my jewlery. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants to get done by a professional espcially if you want micro-dermal anchor piercings done because they know what they are doing and Gray was kind enough to walk me through the entire process as he work on me. Plus like the fact that their prices are straight forward no BS like most places I've found.
