A recommended A+++ experience for everyone. Has long been an annual event for my family. What could be better than ice skating in the heart of the city surrounded by tall buildings. Great fun any time of day!

sarah i hope your stitches are better...i have always wanted to go ice skating there too...i think it would be like a dream, like a fairytale come true! although i don't like ice, nor do I like to skate, but it better be good!

I want to go ice skating so bad since my last time was five years ago since i had a huge cut while ice skating and having three stiches but yet i want to still ice skate i already forgot about the pain so wait for me cuz here i come. But to bad the weathers warm... is the ice skating rink still open even if its warm?

I challenge even an Olympic skater to feel un-awkward at Millenium Park. For the two years since the ice rink has been there, I've tried to skate there, and found that it's nearly impossible. The Zamboni does travel over the ice, but it does NOT resurface the ice into a smooth, glasslike surface. It doesn't even remove the gouges at all, either by sweeping, grinding, or melting the ice. There are always deep divots and huge ruts in the ice. A person could hurt themselves, especially if not used to really awful surfaces such as never-resurfaced ponds. Seriously? The ice is not even as smooth as the sidewalks leading up to it. I'd actually rather take a bus to a much further-away rink than go to Millenium Park again, until they get a better resurfacing ethic.

On the Sunday befroe Christmas last year, my boyfriend (then) proposed to me in the middle of the ice rink. The spot, the scenery, the people, everything was so beautiful and extremely romantic!! It was perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better!! We are getting married September of 2005.
