I discovered Ten Ren when my 12 year old daughter wanted to have a traditional Chinese tea ceremony as part of her birthday present. It got me interested and I will be going back to buy a tea set from them. They have a beautiful selection of tea sets, as well as, teas. It is family owned and is one of Chicago's jewels.

I've loved this place ever since I was a teenager in the 80s (ok, dating myself :D). Even now, when I'm living on the other side of the globe, this is one of my "must do and see" places when I come back to visit family. Even managed to turn an airport employee on to Ten Ren when she started wondering why I have a suitcase full of their tea! If nothing else, go and see the gorgeous tea sets they have here.

Its a nice family run franchise. They have great tea and very good prices for the quality of the tea. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful. Its the only place in town to find very high quality asian ginseng root and american ginseng root. I've been a customer for years and plan to continue going there for most of my tea and ginseng needs.
