This place is my favorite in the neighborhood. One of the underappreciated standouts is the tortilla soup: a huge bowl filled with a thick tomato-based soup with thin tortilla strips, topped with a mound of cheese and chunks of avocado. At four bucks, it's a meal in itself. And the nopales gorditas are fantastic. I never go anywhere else for Mexican food in the neighborhood anymore.

Moran's is a great little Mexican restaurant. The menu is pretty much your standard mexican favorites, but the friendly staff, quality ingredients and low prices make this place stand out from the 20 or so other taquerias in the vicinity.

This place is one of my favorite little "taco joints" in Chicago and my favorite in Logan Square. Food is great, especially the Chicken burritos - loaded with tons of meat (try the burrito suizo variety - comes with melted cheese and red sauce), prices are reasonable, food comes quickly and the chips they bring to the table come with three types of salsa and hot vegentables to snack on. After you're done, go across the street to the Mexican bakery for a delicous giant cookie or pastry for only .40! I like the atmosphere at Taqueria Moran as well, for a little taco joint, I think this one of the better ones in Chicago and the BEST in Logan Square - conveniently located under the California Blue Line Stop, but Late Nite diners take note - it's only open til 10 pm. DEFINITELY try this place

Simply the best tacos in Chicago. Moran is authentic, fresh, and delicious Mexican food at its best.
