Today I had the strangest and rude experience at Armeanetti. We came into the store looking for a vanilla liquor for a recipe which they did not have. We also wanted to buy some beer and upon finding out that they did not have the liquor we decided to buy everything down the street at Pellys. I placed the beer we were buying on a shelf near the register and the worker started yelling at me telling me I must but the beer back on its proper shelf. Normally I would be happy to do this but the person's attitude so shocked me I asked the person "Are you serious this is how you treat your customers?" The person told me to "fuck off" and leave the store all while the owner watched. I was so surprised I went outside and began to write this review and to my surprise the man walked out of the store and across the street to push me down in the middle of the street. I once used to like this store but I will never go there again and always go to Pellys. I have video of the worker assaulting me and am currently consulting my attorney on legal action.

We ducked into Armanetti's unassuming storefront in search of BYOB wines and were astounded to find some of our favorite wine producers on the shelves--I'm talking tiny production, high quality wineries like Huber, Showket, and Ecluse, which really surprised us. Good global representation and a very fine selection of obscure (and great) sparkling wine. Knowledgeable staff; inspired wine, beer AND spirits selections all fairly priced, especially compared with Lush on Roscoe. Exceptionally clean and bright--very appealing. We'll definitely be back.
