I can not say enough good things about this store. After moving to the Old Town neighborhood a few months ago, I have shopped at nearly every grocery store in the area and none is as convenient and high quality as Trader Joe's. The cheeses, dairy, breads, wines, spices, frozen meats and vegetables are all a tremendous value that simply trounces the Dominick's and Whole Foods nearby. Their staff is unbelievably friendly and they have a great samples counter. Do most, if not all, of your grocery shopping here. It should save you a headache as well as some money.

Trader Joe's follows a tried and true formula: good food at reasonable prices. Given its proximity to the maximum rip-off Whole Foods it's a welcome addition to Linkin Park. The best deals are on cheese: cheapest prices for Jarlsberg (4.49 here...more like $9 at WF and even Dominicks!)and several other cheeses (I like the Adams Cheddar) in town. The Applegate farms turkey packages...pretty reasonable and v. good quality for sandwiches and sometimes they have good produce deals. In any case the produce quality is high even though most of it is packaged. Some of the breads are good and I like their Eng Muffins. Of course you can't beat the very drinkable Chas Shaw wines...at 2.99 still the best deal in town (but drink them up the day u open them!). Some prepared foods are great too. Almonds 1lb..3.99. The staff are always very pleasant and there's usually something to eat in store. All round a real treat!
