I just love this place! I have been there four times now. The food is carefully prepared by the owner who is very friendly. The soup and 1/2 sandwich deal is a great value. Try the potato soup which sounds plain but believe me it's very flavorful with lots of garlic. I can't wait to go back.

This is a great neighborhood restaurant located in a storefront in downtown Skokie. The Italian food is authentic and prepared with care. Everything we've tried is delicious and the price is lower than expected. 1/2 portions are even more reasonable and are enough for most people.

Toscana is a gem. The food is wonderful. We particularly like the mushroom soup and the pasata with bolognese sauce. The fish is fresh; nothing frozen here. And the desserts! More wonderful

My family loves this restaurant. We love it because Dad is the chef, Mom, daughter, cousins are the waitstaff and Grandma or Grandpa bakes the wonderful warm bread. Of course, we also love the food. I highly recommend the vegetarian lasagne, very flavorful! Another favorite is the enormous French Dip sandwich. We also liked the fact that it was easy to get into a nice restaurant on any night of the week. Although, tonight(Friday)it was packed, a full house. We are very glad for them, as we were worried we might loose one of our favorite restaurants. It turns out they were just written up in Chicago magazine and ever since have been swamped. The secrets out!
