Moka Gallery is now in my neighborhood and I couldn’t be more proud of having such a great gallery near by, I visited this gallery in the past when they were in Pilsen and I got to tell you that their old location was great but the new gallery is just superb. What a wonderful gallery, the floors, the lighting, and the artwork OH LA LA!. I don’t remember ever seeing so many artists from different countries in one exhibit. Now we the neighbors of Roscoe’s Village are looking forward to see how this beautiful gallery brings art to our community and hopefully other will follow to help transform the antique district into an art destination.
Our Best wishes to Moka Gallery and welcome to Roscoe's Village.

Moka Gallery in one work "Outstanding". Congratulations! My husband and I went down there for the Chicago Arts District Open House and this Gallery just blows me away with the video Installation and drawings from a Russian artist, "Galina Shevchenko", I haven't seen something like this in Chicago brfore, it is the kind of work and presentation you expect to see in NYC or London. Breathtaking! Another surprise were the photographs from a German artist Thordis Rueggeberg, her Barbies are out of this world (the next door kind of girl, but subreal or I should say “too real”), you got too see then to understand what I'm talking about. The paintings, the glass work oh my god! I never expended so much time in an art gallery before and I can't wait to for us to go back and bring some friends.

I usually don't pay to much attention to reviews, but I got to say that curiosity brought me down to Pilsen to visit Moka Gallery and I was very please with what I saw, great artwork and innovative ideas, the Moka team was simply refreshing and mostly friendly, they talked about art as something tangible and accessible to anyone and everyone. Keep the great work guys!

I visited the Chicago Arts District and I was very happy with what Moka Gallery has to offer, the gallery is beautiful and the service just impeccable, I really love the space, very cozy and inviting.
I have to say that what impressed me the most was the quality of the artwork and the mixture of styles, I can't believe this gallery has an art opening every two weeks! So it is always re-invented and fresh, I love that!, they also show a preview of the upcoming artists which I found extremely convenience at least for me.
I absolutely recommend Moka Gallery to those new collectors (like myself). I purchased a painting and now I know where to buy some more. Great job guys!

The Moka Gallery is an exciting addition to the galleries and artists' spaces along South Halsted in the Pilsen neighborhood. The gallery's opening show is a rich mix of artists, media, formats and styles--a real feast for the eyes and soul.
Start with Sydia Reyes sensuous steel sculptures. Each one is an elegant, dramatic beauty. She hits a lighter, sweeter note with charmimgly puffy resin-casted hearts that beg to be touched.
Painting is strongly represented in the gallery by Tomek's canvases or boards layered with explosive, twisting lines and morphing bleeding colors. Jhonmar Rhadames paints intriguing carefully composed figures of animate and inanimate objects played off against deeply colored, textured backgrounds. In his painting of poppies, the flowers seem simulataneously to be dancing and floating in a timeless crimson dream.
Robert Moysan works in digital and conventional photography are wonderful explorations of the city and people. He's got everything going for him including a fabulous eye for unexpected, masterful composition, a great pop color sensibility and wit. I look forward to seeing more from him.
Finally, do not miss MIra MIckler MOss's fabulous sculptures. FRankly, who knew a groud could be so devine--well, these are!Moss sculpts, paints and decorates what she calls "natures's organic pottery" into absolute objects of wonder.
