The WeatherMark Tavern is a great bar for anyone to visit. They made accommodations for people with hearing loss. They were patient and understanding. They have great lighting, seating, open space, and good food! I would recommend this place to anyone!!!!

I’ve been to the Weather Mark twice: once for a weekend game and once for after-work drinks. This bar is a step above a neighborhood joint, but it’s only likely to attract people from the neighborhood.

The menu and bar options are varied, yet standard. The bar staff is friendly and competent. During one visit, the bartender deftly managed an “over-served” customer while remaining genial—no easy feat and the mark of experience. The wait staff is flightly and inattentive, but it is a bar, so the food service is average for this type of venue.

An owner/manager is usually circulating , which gives Weather Mark a warmer touch, but the high, grey ceiling hurts one’s initial impression. The place feels temporary somehow, or as if the room is intentionally empty for multi-purpose use, and today the use is a bar. The naval decor carries through from the name, and the best feature is “booths” created with sails hung around boxy leather couches. These nooks are perfect for a group of friends who want to hang out and actually hear each other. Weather Mark isn’t a good place to meet and mingle. Instead, it works nicely as a starting point for a night out with the boys, or for a night cap on a couples’ night. There is limited sidewalk seating in the summer, and front of the bar opens like a garage door on nice days.

The atmosphere was nice, but the service was pushy and rude. The menu stated that the kitchen was open until midnight, but we were rushed into ordering at 10:45. My chicken sandwich was straightforward. My girlfriend ordered a portabella sandwich. She wasn't given opportunity to add anything to it, so it came as just a piece of mushroom on a bun!

I go to the Weather Mark Tavern about two or three times a week. It is very convenient for South Loop residents to socialize and have a good time. The people that work at the Weather Mark Tavern have always treated me well, and I have made a lot of friends there.

Have only been here once. Food was very good; however, the waitress was... well, it seemed like she didn't know how to be a waitress and was not paying attention. Since we were one of four tables eating, her spaceyness was totally puzzling.

Too bad. I like the atmosphere a lot; and, one of the owners I met was a really nice guy.

Enjoyed watching world cup and golf while having a couple drinks and some food at the bar. The burger was great, the sweet potato fries really good. For a brand new bar the atmosphere, decor and waitstaff all good. Liked it and plan on checking the extensive menu out at dinner soon.

Live in the neighborhood and gave this place a shot. Found it to be very expensive and the service wasnt very great. If you dont get their special the place really can break the bank
