The McCormick Tribune Ice Skating Rink at Millennium Park is a great place to pass the time during Chicago's chilly winter months. The 16,000-square-foot surface comes with a lovely view of Michigan Avenue, between Washington and Madison Streets. Admission is free of charge to the public, and skate rentals are available for $9. And, thanks to the concession area, you can stay warm with a cup of hot chocolate. Come back in the summer, as the rink serves as an outdoor dining area for Millennium Park's Park Grill.

The Ice Skating Rink's season runs from November 15-March 16.
