A woman here will come to your table and prepare guacamole to your specifications. Any lover of the green goodness known as guac should be overjoyed at that thought. While this is certainly a draw to this snazzy joint, it's not the only thing the restaurant has going for it.
As the name of the eatery might suggest, the bulk of the restaurant's menu centers on fajitas. Your choices include chicken, salmon, steak, shrimp, calamari and octopus and vegetarian. The prices hover a tad higher than you might expect ($12.95 to $15.95), but all sauces and tortillas are freshly made in house. Appetizers, like the house specialty molletes (Mexican white bread covered with refried beans, melted cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream), cost around $7.
You'll also spot salads (including an organic one) and soups. If fajitas don't strike your fancy, you can choose from enchiladas, tacos, flautas or something from the grill like filet mignon with sweet mole sauce and fresh fruit, chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms, onions and garlic and covered with green salsa or salmon topped with chipotle sauce and melted cheese. You can order a margarita to pair with the delightful dishes, but you'll need to bring your own tequila.
The beautifully restored space has two dining rooms and a small cabana-style bar. A rich maroon and brown drench the walls, with one wall sporting rustic exposed brick. White linen and paper cover the tables, lending to an overall feeling of upscale without being stodgy.
