Argo suffers from a perpetual seat shortage, but if you manage to snag one of the soft chairs, youíll be in a comfort-loverís paradise. The beautiful lamps, green-grey walls, black-and-white photos, and orderly rows of teapots combine forces with the calming teas to soothe your spirit, but the noise level can reach disruptive levels in these intimate surroundings.
During the rush hours, donít bother trying to read; look outside the fabulous floor-to-ceiling windows instead, which allow you to observe the bustling intersection of Armitage and Sheffield and comment on the passers-by. A warning to tea lightweights: they brew the Earl Grey strong. However, the occasional handouts of tiny plastic shot glasses of sweet cider more than compensate for the overexuberance.
