Arturo's is famous in some circles. It's the place where you can always end up after a night of partying and continue partying. When drunk hunger takes hold, and you're still thirsty, Arturo's is probably your best bet. Mexican food seems to be inseparably linked with drinking nights, and Arturo's is ideal for this marriage.

Located on Western at Armitage, Arturo's is on two main thoroughfares and easy to get to. It's on the corner itself and is neighbored by a lesser taco joint to the north. Try and avoid mistaking the neighboring Lazo's Tacos for Arturo's (which I have done) because Arturo's food is far superior and the atmosphere is much more comfortable. There is ample room in the restaurant, which does sell beer. It has plenty of booths for patrons to huddle around their burrito world with little disturbance.

A good measuring stick for these places is their salsa, which naturally comes with tortilla chips when you sit down. Arturo's is good, not great, but available. The food itself well better than average. It's not the cheapest place of its kind around, either; a meal can cost close to ten bucks. It's almost worth it, though, and it has everything a place like this needs: passable food, large proportions, friendly people, beer and it is open 24 hours. This last factor is truly Arturo's greatest virtue, but it is enjoyable overall, and more than worth trying.
