With its wine-covered walls, dimly lit rooms and candlelit tables, Geja's is a dinner destination for the romantics. Specializing on fondues, lovebirds dip and share freshly cut meats, cheese and desserts in this
Lincoln Park staple.
Geja's is not a place for those looking for a quick bite to eat or something cheap. Instead, call ahead for reservations, set a few hours aside for dinner and know that your wallet will be a little lighter when you're done. But with good company and food aplenty, there’s no reason at all to rush this dinner experience. So, pop open a bottle of Chianti ($28), make a toast and enjoy.
For those looking to dine with style, the Prince Geja's combination ($48.95 per person) is a 4-course dinner extravagance that includes a cheese-fondue appetizer, Geja's salad and an assortment of fresh vegetables and dipping sauces. The main course is a sampling of their finest aged beef tenderloin, lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, sea scallops and tender boneless chicken breast. The meats come with a pot of hot oil and several dipping sauces for cooking and flavoring. Lastly, the meal ends with a flaming chocolate dessert fondue. If the combination plate sounds too much, other choices on its "premier fondue dinners" menu include the aged beef tenderloin ($40.95 per person) and the fresh vegetable medley ($27.95 per person). These options still include the cheese fondue appetizer with choices of the best sharp, robust and delicate cheeses, vegetables and dipping sauces and of course, the chocolate dessert.
With its delicious food, romantic atmosphere and the flamenco sounds of Ted Richine's guitar in the background, Geja's is a go-to place for those looking to splurge and dine with someone special.
