Bob Fisher's subterranean fever dreams are unlike anything else in Chicago theatre. For the spring, Fisher is remounting the critically acclaimed first play in his Noir triptych, about a man with self-induced amnesia and a nasty secret. Critics praise the stark, freaky imagery and the dangerously committed performances. Some criticize the uneven plot, but all appreciate the chance to enter an appalling, engrossing basement world. Closing this weekend.
